@MetaAnnouncements no flag responses :/
flag responses?
highest voted answer for the community sprint (and happened to be mine) but alas it was not to be. Despite even user No1 supporting it.

I'm puzzled that none of Robert Cartaino's posts have a grey [staff] / [mod] label: meta.stackexchange.com/search?q=user%3A98786 - am I missing something?
I see that behavior quite often, though I don't remember where by now.
16:32
Tim Post, because his accounts were deleted, but that doesn't count :)
(even then, the former staff label would be useful on his posts, but that's a different question)
16:56
@Glorfindel I think those are semi manual and could be an oversight
@Spevacus we got chat on the sidebar
If only my other wish list items went as well 😅
I saw. :^)
woo
17:25
@Glorfindel I haven't checked how this is implemented, but my guess is that Robert was so long ago that we weren't yet collecting whatever data (account history or whatnot) is used to figure out that someone used to be staff
@balpha would you mind if I post a feature request on Meta.SE, asking the community as well if they have more examples? There's a pretty good indication of his termination date, not sure about the start but somebody could pull that from your HR system, I guess.
@Glorfindel hmm never mind, the data exists, so this is simply a bug
17:55
ah there's yet another data source
@Glorfindel Yeah I think it makes sense to post on Meta -- feels like people like Robert or Shog should have the indicator (unless there's a specific reason I'm not aware of that we don't show them, but it's a good question either way)
Digging even further, Shog's post have a 'former mod' indicator but not a 'former staff' indicator. I cannot believe nobody noticed that until now ...
It's not entirely broken, Catija's posts do have a 'former staff' indicator

Q: Some former Community Manager's posts are missing former staff & mod labels

GlorfindelOn this site, since 2022, posts by former employees posted while they were employed, are indicated by gray [staff] (and where applicable, [mod]) labels in their user card. For some reason, this didn't happen for the posts by Robert Cartaino, who has been a valuable community manager for 6-8 years...

@Glorfindel I noticed, but assumed it had something to do with the odd MSO-MSE migration and age of the accounts / becoming staff
could be, yes
