Then why is the moderator responding linking to resources about flags on the network and claiming that using flags on the network are not appropriate? I'm giving you the floor now - how would you explain that a conversation about drawing attention then has these resources about post flags in it and then the moderator response goes to continue talking about post flags? |

Chat icon colour in left navigation bar keeps being off which does not work with the reading of "how your drawings of attention are being handled" because again "handling a flag* only really makes sense as "handling a flag that moderators see on the SE network". Overall, my evidence for "flagging" meaning "flagging within the well-established context of the SE network" rather than "draw attention" is that the latter reading doesn't work at all there. The whole premise of the Q&A is nonsense if what you claim is true because the poster is drawing attention to...not being able to draw attention? |

Moreover the reading of "so I have flagged that but these answers have been been removed." as "so I drew attention to" as opposed to "so I cast a flag as the SE network defines it" is nonsensical. Especially considering a moderator (the ones actually handling flags - the term of art used in the SE network) responded using the meaning of "flag" within the SE network. Not "draw attention to". Linking to information about flagging on the SE network. The response then goes on to say "you are dissatisfied with how your flags are being handled" |
