American Airlines Worker Killed on Tarmac at Charlotte Airport After Ramp Vehicle Crash

An American Airlines employee has died following an accident on the tarmac in North Carolina.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been made public.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport also shared a statement to PEOPLE confirming “a single-vehicle accident involving an airline ramp vehicle.”

“Emergency and medical crews responded promptly,” the airport continued.

According to the airport, chaplains are currently available on-site.
