Going viral is easy when the subject is so cheesy.
Chili’sgooey Fried Mozzarella appetizer has taken over the internet with customers testing the limits of the menu item’s cheese pull.
The starter is not a new addition to the restaurant chain’s menu but its popularity online is.
The stomach-grumbling app is available in small or shareable sizes (either three or six pieces) or as part of Chili’s Triple Dipper — a menu option for fans to choose three appetizers and dipping sauces. Unlike other types of mozzarella sticks that are cheese stick-shaped, Chili’s Fried Mozzarella is made with cheese cut into rectangular slabs. The wide cheese pieces are breaded, fried and served with marina sauce, if guests are ordering the original version. But the saucier iterations are what viewers are drooling over onTikTok.

The Nashville Hot Mozz is just like its original counterpart but is tossed in Nashville hot sauce after being fried and served with homemade ranch instead of marinara.
Chili’s did not respond immediately to PEOPLE’s request for details on the off-menu item.

It’s not only the stretchy nature of the fried cheese that has TikTokers going in for another piece. Influencers praise the crunch (which is typically audible for viewers) and oneusercalled the texture “unmatched.”
McDonald’s revealed news that is sure to break the internet, too.
In a new interview withGood Morning Americaon Thursday, Dec. 5, president of McDonald’s USA Joe Erlinger confirmed that theonce-discontinued Snack Wraps will return in 2025.
“The Snack Wrap will be back in 2025,” Erlinger said, adding that he couldn’t reveal its “exact” return date for “competitive reasons.” “This has a cult following. I get so many emails into my inbox about this product. It will be back in 2025.”
The original Snack Wrap — which consisted of chicken, lettuce and shredded cheese in a tortilla, with either ranch or honey mustard — had left menus in 2016. The product first hit McDonald’s menus across the country in 2006.
