A journey of almost 2 months here has been exciting to say the least. Wait, why am I saying this all of a sudden? Because, I am taking a looong break of almost 2 years now- yeah studies! And I just hope that all the newcomers to this site respect people's opinions and make this site a better place! 2. Carbon can never be sp3d hybridized.
3. Epoxides are....strained rings?
4. Since cubane isn't an olefin, all the unsaturation comes from rings. The degree of unsaturation is (2⋅8+2−8)/2=5, and hence the number of rings is also 5. The number of cuts by scissors is effectively the exact same thing.

Only a few questions of mine remain unanswered, the rest are and they have helped me a lot during my chemistry journey, I hope, I embrace chemistry as a part of my career too, but that is undecided.
