Online IDE for Your Students
Let your students write, run, and test code directly in the browser.
The IDE works in any modern browser and supports more than 30 programming languages. Students can switch between front-end, back-end, and full-stack projects without needing to download anything.
They can build websites, create interactive apps, or work on assignments.
Live previews & built-in tools
Students can see their code updates instantly with live previews. That helps them understand what's happening and what needs fixing while they work.
Every Space has its own unique URL. Students can share their projects with you, classmates, or keep them private.
They can also connect directly to GitHub to manage versions and showcase their work more professionally. It’s a simple way to bring real-world workflows into the classroom.
Students can choose from over 75 ready-made templates.
Whether they’re building a portfolio site or a weather app, the templates give them a strong foundation to build on — and help them focus on learning, not just formatting.
You don’t have to create project briefs from scratch. Just pick a template and let students make it their own.
Give your students a space to explore, test ideas, and build things they’re proud of.
All in the browser. All in one place.

1dThank you for your contributions in providing educational resources. I utilized W3Schools heavily when teaching young students web development and they had such a blast! Thank you millions. 🫢 If I could lightly push a feature request for the organization of these spaces, an admin account for teachers with 25 individual student sites to manage. It would be great to have the option where students could also bounce from one site code to another, either to view or collaborate. This would be ideal for remote instruction but even teachers delivering one off in person instructionals. Having to create multiple free accounts for individual students that will only be used within a month is difficult. Imagine being able to export the code with a link to the student as an invite to create their own W3Schools profile to continue editing outside of class or into the future. Clicking on the link, prompts them to create a profile, and automatically downloads and saves their work into that space! 🙌🏻 Collaborating with teachers to deliver free CS instruction also helps to market your own product indirectly, so there does exist an incentive to partner with teachers. All in all, Great work! Thanks for all you do.
